Jerome's Razor Trailer (6.11 Mb) WMV format. Contains strong language... peter To the rest of the world, Peter seems little more than a blank canvas. As a mentally-handicapped young man spending his days in a state hospital, Peter remains unmoved by his confined conditions or the bleak future that awaits him on the horizon. But behind a mask of indifference, Peter hides remarkable talent waiting to burst forth. His secret is revealed only to one, Denise, a young college intern struggling with a pessimistic future of her own. Together they face a similar challenge: give up or move on. To the joy (read : surprise) of Reel Cinema, peter was accepted at numerous film festivals, including a few in New York City. The film was also nominated for a D.L. Mayberry Award, the Minnesota version of the Oscars. The success of this film has been tremendous and can be linked to the growth of Reel Cinema into a full-blown company. FACTOID
peter was filmed in under a week and cost less than $10,000 to make yet played in New York right next to a multimillion dollar film starring James Earl Jones. peter was hand picked from thousands of entries to make it into the IFFM festival along with only about 30 other movies. STAFF-STAT During the filming of Knowing the Paper Tiger, Marcus and John rolled John's car on the highway during a rainstorm, damaging much of the equipment, making the film difficult to finish. Don't worry. They were okay, but the movie was never completed. STAFF-STAT Doug Aamoth, webmaster and director of marketing for Reel Cinema, is often so hyperactive on the set that he has to be told to calm down. |
